God’s Ange

1Kings 11:9 ( NKJV)

So the LORD became angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned from the LORD God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice,

*Theme:God’s Anger*

From our portion of scripture , we see that God became angry with king Solomon because he didn’t obey what the Lord his God had told by not entering into marriage with these women .
This caused Solomon’s heart to obey other gods thus forsaking his own God his creator . But God had appeared to king Solomon twice and had commanded him concerning this thing , that he should not go after the other gods .
This practice made by king Solomon made God to tell Solomon that He will surely tear the kingdom from him since king Solomon had failed to keep the covenant and statutes that the Lord had commanded him.

In this world , Christians attimes have failed to keep God’s commandments just like king Solomon did . This accelerates God’s anger towards mankind . Take an for example if a commandment is given by God , ”to love your neighbour as you love your self .” But some people have not acknowledged such commandments , their resorted to self love . And this is not good before the sight of God .

As children of God we have to always obey [follow] what the Lord our God wants [God’s will ] not our body desires. Because if someone obeys his body desires , they will lead to his destruction.

As children of God our steps must be order by the Lord and always delight in His way .[ psalms 37:23] .In order to prevent God’s anger .

Therefore as children of God , we have to follow what our God wants to do in order to keep away from God’s anger by doing His will.
