Scripture study
1 Kings 18
1. Later on, in the third year of the drought, the lord said to Elijah, “Go and present yourself to King Ahab. Tell him that I will soon send rain!”
Theme: God who keeps His promises.
we do understand just right from the basics that the Lord always lives up to his promises. That is to say in our study Scripture we realise that the Lord sent word unto Prophet Elijah that rain would soon come to the land after a long dry spell. The Lord surely lives up to what He says like all the cases in the bible, for example when He took the Israelites out of captivity in Egypt, when He saved Meshach Shadrack and Abednego in the furnace and even provided to Prophet Elijah when in hiding from King Ahab.
We are never forgotten, from beneath all our troubles and moments of little if no faith. God is always with us. The Lord guided Elijah to King Ahab and as he had said, there were dark clouds seen later on and these brought plenty of rain. God keeps his promises and as children of God we should be vigilant and know which are God’s promises to us. We should seek the Holy Spirit and read the word inorder to know these promises.
Nugget

Ephesians 3:12, confidence in The lord through faith that He never lets us down.
What did David say about the presence of God?
He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. When you enter into presence of God, there is nothing else like it. David had a small glimpse of the power of the presence of God and that taste caused him to seek it with everything he had.
Prayer.
Lord God we thank you for your everlasting love. For your mercy endures forever, we pray that You shall give us the confidence at heart that we may dwell in your presence forever more.
In Jesus’s name we pray and believe, Amen
