Falsehood

Study scripture: 1Kings 22:4-6 (NKJV)*

4 – So he said to Jehoshaphat, “Will you go with me to fight at Ramoth Gilead?” Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”
5 – Also Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “Please inquire for the word of the LORD today.”
6 – Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said to them, “Shall I go against Ramoth Gilead to fight, or shall I refrain?” So they said, “Go up, for the Lord will deliver it into the hand of the king.”

*Theme: Falsehood*

We see the interaction but the king Ahab of Isreal and king Jehoshaphat of Judah about a place called Ramoth-gilead which both of them wanted to take but drove them for a battle but before the , they had to inquire from the word of the Lord .This made the king of Isreal to gather about four hundred prophets and asked them , ” shall I go to battle against Ramoth-gilead or shall I refrain ? ” And all said , ” go up for the Lord will give it into the hand of the king ” . The all messages from the prophets were showing the king of Israel that is gonna get victory over the king of Judah but all the prophets delivered a false word before the king , their words weren’t the truth but they led to the destruction of the king .
As children of God we should be able to discern what is good or evil because as we grow in our christian life we shall encounter many things which seems good but they are leading us to destruction . We should be aware of false prophets , teachers who will come in the name of the Lord yet they delivering things which are not right .
