“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?”
— Matthew 24:45 (KJV)
*Faithful service*
The call for discipleship is not limited to any spiritual office or gift but to every christian. As long as you are born again, your divine purpose is to win souls and disciple them. This is to the leaders, music ministers, the ushers and every man in service to the things of God.
Look no further for your divine purpose and calling, this is the only call Jesus left: to preach to men and disciple them [Matthew 28:18-20]. What we should be praying to understand is the mode of delivery of this call; so as you realise your mode is through ushering, then you will go speak to a souls, but as well give a condusive environment for souls to come back and again.
In our theme scripture, a faithful and wise servant as according to God’s kingdom, is one who gives men meat in due season! We know that milk represent spiritual food for those young in Christ and meat represents spiritual food for those who have grown in Christ to start handling strong kingdom secrets and authority [Hebrews 5:13-14]. Therefore a faithful servant in this context is one who has won a soul, discipled it from taking milk (elementary principles) to feeding on meat (the state of the ability to as well win souls and disciple them). This is what Jesus calls being faithful and wise in your service.
Let’s give heed to every teaching we sit under, for this is God equipping us for this call. Let’s not limit God to the fact that we don’t occupy either the evangelical office or the teaching office. This call is to every believer in Christ: preach, win and disciple to maturity, then we are faithful and wise. Amen!

Look no further for your divine calling, this is the only call Jesus left: to preach to men and disciple them. It’s only the mode of delivery of this call that changes.
*Prayer*
