*Philippians 3:8-10*
Yea doubtless, and I count all things [but] loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them [but] dung, that I may win Christ,… *That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;*

*Insight*
Paul understood that for him to experience the totality or fullness of God’s resurrection power and the fellowship of His suffering, he had to count all things as loss ,yes! ALL THINGS as dung so that he can gain Christ and the Excellency of His knowledge. His ultimate goal was to know nothing other than Christ and Him crucified. (1 Cor 2:2) What a man!

The resurrection power of Christ and the fellowship of His suffering is experienced in men in varying measures depending on how much one’s life is yielded or sacrificed to Christ. Yes! we can limit the power of Holy one of Israel in our lives just as the Israelites did ( Ps 78 :41), we can despise the sweetness of his fellowship with us when we hold onto things that profit the spirit nothing.
Today, I choose to count all things as dung so that I may gain Christ and enjoy the fullness of His power and Fellowship.

Spirit we thank you, we love you for this Understanding you’ve released forth from within. Help us to be faithful doers of this Word and not just hearers in Jesus name. Amen.
