ESSENCE OF FELLOWSHIP

*Study scripture:* _Hebrews 10:25 – Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching._

*ESSENCE OF FELLOWSHIP*

The bible tells us not to stop the assembling and gathering of ourselves together. It is a good a habit to keep in communion and in the Fellowship of the saints. There are christians who do not want to fellowship.

There are a christians who have deliberately turned down and undermined the essence of joint fellowship. They pray alone, read the word of God alone and to a certain extent, their growth patterns are low.

There are many who are spiritually week because they have not practiced the habit of fellowshipping together. The use of fellowship is that we have an opportunity to exhort, build and encourage one another.

Look at this; _1Corinthians 14:26 – So here’s what I want you to do. When you *gather for worship*, each one of you be prepared with something that will be useful for all: Sing a hymn, teach a lesson, tell a story, lead a prayer, provide an insight.*(MSB)*_ When we come together in the assembly of saints, whether family altar,cell meeting, department Fellowship or church gatherings, everyone must have something to edify one another.

The bible says one will come with a hymn, one will come with a revelation,one will lead a prayer, one will interpret tongues all for the good and edification of the church. You must always carry something for your fellowship or at least strengthen one brother in the Fellowship.

_Acts.4.31 – And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where *they were assembled together;* and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness._ There are quickenings and workings of the spirit that only take place in the assembly of the church. They assembled and overcame all the fears and threats. They were strengthened together as saints.

Are you cast down? Call for an assembly. Is your relationship and family being shaken? Parade some saints and pray against it. Is your ministry, country, institution under attack? Call for a fellowship and assembling. Assembling of the saints quickens the working of the spirit.

*Nugget:* It is a good thing for christians to keep gathering and assembling together. Do not forsake the habit of praying together, reading the word of God together. It is good for your growth as a Christian. Have a Fellowship of two people or three people or more.

*Prayer:* I thank you Lord for the opportunity and ability you have given me to Fellowship. Thank you for my church,my cell, my family meeting and all the arenas of my life in Jesus’ name.
