*Study scripture :*
Psalms 125:1(KJV) – They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
2 – As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
*DEPENDING ON GOD*
Depending on God is to have confidence, to trust and rely on God.
People who depend on God are His sheep, this means depending on God comes with obedience.
John 10:27 – My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
From the the above scripture, we see that one must hear the voice of God concerning every aspect of their life and follow whatever He tells them to do.
It’s very difficult for one to depend on God when he or she can’t hear the voice of God.
Depending on God means you see the goodness of God in every circumstance and situation in your life.
Depending on God means you are not moved by circumstances around you, you are not moved by the evil thoughts in your mind or the words of men to make any decision but you are only moved by the word of God.
*Case study*
1Samuel 13:8(NLT) – Saul waited there seven days for Samuel, as Samuel had instructed him earlier, but Samuel still didn’t come. Saul realized that his troops were rapidly slipping away.
9 – So he demanded, “Bring me the burnt offering and the peace offerings!” And Saul sacrificed the burnt offering himself.
From the above scriptures, we see King Saul becoming frustrated after seeing that the Isrealutes were out numbered in the battle by the philistines which made him to do a mistake that costed him by losing an entire throne, and this was because he failed to obey the instructions of God, he failed to wait upon God, and instead chose to be moved by the circumstances around him.
Child of God, it’s more profiting to wait upon God, to depend on Him in every circumstance than to be moved by the circumstances around and personal efforts.
*Blessed be the name of the LORD!*
