COCERNING TEMPTATIONS*

James 1:13 – Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

*COCERNING TEMPTATIONS*

Let us first begin by having a simple definition of a temptation. What is a temptation? The easiest way we can define it is that it is a circumstance or situation that is aimed at stumbling a Christian from the will and love of God. Temptations a lot of times cause christians to stray from faith.

Temptations are beyond mere appearances and occurrences of sin such as stealing, adultery etc. There are temptations wrapped up in nice things. It is possible to enter a door of marriage with a beautiful girl or handsome boy but if that individual was not in the will of God,a man such under a relationship is bound to be frustrated and hate God for nothing. He is subject to a temptation.

There are many Christians who the last time you see them actively engaged in ministry is when they are single. It is because some of the relationships they enter are temptations.

It is possible to get a job or friends but if in the course of it a man’s ministry dies or his relationship with God is frustrated in the course, that man was subject to a temptation.

Some Jobs, opportunities and relationships are actually temptations and every christian must be careful how he makes his decisions. Some decisions can ruin a Christian relationship with God, and in the end a man blames God. But remember God tempts no one.

When many of us are tempted many times,we tend to think it’s God. But there is no man God tempts in this world. There is no man God ever makes sick to forget his name. There is no man God ever makes poor just. There is no man God ever makes sick or blind. All these situations can cause a man to stray from God and he is not responsible for any of them.

The first move of redemption from temptations is understanding what James tells the church that God does not tempt anyone. Some men are still sick because they believe God made them sick and cannot therefore be healed. Some have broken things because they think it’s God’s will and have thus never been healed.

Before your deliverance is manifested, begin by Understanding that God wants you well.

_1 Corinthians.10:13 – “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”_ Look at the faithfulness of God to man concerning temptations. He says there is no temptation that has overtaken you, meaning it is not God who has brought it.

Whether it came by Satan or your ignorance or your errors, the faithfulness of God is that he will not suffer it to bring deadly consequences upon your life. You will be able to bear with it and come out a victor and success.

The mind of God is that he always plans a way of escape for you in the very place of temptation and circumstance you are experiencing. You might have gotten sick by yourself or Satan but he still desires to save you and heal you completely.

Your relationship might be having trouble because of your own errors, but God still intends to heal and deliver you completely out of that heaviness of heart. God is not behind your frustrations. Do not leave church but rather, trust and believe on him for the grace to overcome all temptations around you.
*Hallelujah!*

*Nugget:* Do not say in your heart that God gave you that sickness or infirmity. It is not God tempting you with poverty. Understand that it is not God’s will for you to suffer and struggle and position yourself for a redemption. He wills to save you in all situations because he does not tempt his children with evil. He does not cause them to stumble out of faith.
Glory to God.
