BORN OF GOD 1
?? John 1:12-13
_John 1:12-13 KJV 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:_
The day we received Jesus Christ, he gave us the power to become sons of God. And that power was given to us who believe in his name. When you continue he says,
_John 1:13 *Which were born,* not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, *but of God*._
The day you came into this world through the womb, you were born of blood, of the will of flesh and of the will of man. The day you entered this world by your physical parents you were born of flesh.
However, the day you got born again, something changed. You were no more born of flesh nor of the will of man, *you were born of God.*
That’s what John 1:13 is telling us. So you and I were born of God the day we received Jesus Christ.
?? James 1:18
_James 1:18 KJV Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures._
Here James the apostle says that God of his own will begat us or gave birth to us by the word of truth. So we are begotten by the word of God.
In other words we are the children of the word. The word fathered us. Hallelujah.
?? John 1:1
_John 1:1 KJV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God._
The word of God is God. So he who is born of the word of God is the same as he who is born of God. There is no difference.
When I say that you are born of God and I again say that you are born of the word then I mean the same thing. They are the same.
?? 1st Peter 1:23
_1st Peter 1:23 KJV Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever._
So generally speaking the day you got born again, you were born of God.
?? _1st John 5:1 KJV *Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God:* and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him._
If you are studying this and you truly believe that Jesus is the Christ then you are born of God.
To be born of God takes just believing certain aspects about Jesus Christ.
*Yes you may make mistakes but mistakes don’t disqualify you to be born of God. What qualifies you to be born of God is that you have believed Jesus Christ. That’s what the Bible tells us.*
You either believe what many say or what the word of God says. Hallujah glory to God.
*YOU ARE BORN OF GOD*
14/07/2022, 13:23 – Godfrey Rwothomio: *BORN OF GOD 2*
_John 3:6 KJV That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit._
Scriptures tell us that flesh gives birth to flesh, and spirit gives birth to spirit. In other words every seed gives birth to that after its own kind.
It is a seed principle that everything gives birth to that after its own kind. A mango tree produces mangoes, a dog gives birth to a dog, a human being gives birth to a human being.
So when Scriptures say that you’re born of the word, then the word gives birth to that after its own kind. The word gives birth to the word. If spirit gives birth to spirit then the word gives birth to the word.
This means that you are the word of God.
_John 1:14 KJV *And the Word was made flesh,* and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth._
The only difference is that Jesus was the word that was made flesh. For you, you are the word of God in flesh.
Scriptures say God sent his only begotten son and his begotten son was God. Then we were also begotten by God meaning we are… Finish it for yourself.
When we say that we are god’s, we don’t mean to say that we are above God, we mean that God has made us just like him and he is our head.
Yes we are God’s however we have a head. That’s why we worship the head who is Christ. Christ is the head of the church.
So we are God’s and we worship the Almighty God. Hallelujah glory to God.
