*BEING BORN AGAIN 4(BORN OF WATER)*

Jesus told Nicodemus that unless a man be born of water and of the spirit,he cannot be born again. But primarily, what does it mean to be born of water? The experience of being born of water is beyond water baptism.

*_Isaiah 55:10_* – _For as *the rain cometh down*, and *the snow* from heaven, and returneth not thither, but *watereth* the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: – *So shall my word* be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it._

And also here *_Ephesians 5:26_* – _That he might *sanctify* and *cleanse* it with the washing of *water* by the *word,*_ So from the verses above,when Jesus speaks of water,he is talking of the word. He is not just talking about the ordinary water experience we know. This means to be born of water is to be born of the word. A man must be born of the word of God.

Jesus told Nicodemus to be born of the word.
*_1 Peter 1:23 – Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever._* To be born again is to be born of an incorruptible sperm. This sperm is the word of God. It is the word that cleanses and sanctifies you. It lives and therefore gives life.

At your first experience,the earthly sperm you were born of was subject to sickness, failure, disease,sin, fear, worry, demonic oppression etc. But now that you are born again,you are begotten of an incorruptible seed/sperm which is of God.

To be born of the word is to be born after the nature of God himself. If God does not fall sick,it is the end of sickness. If God is not poor,it is the end of poverty in your life. The seed of God is elevated above all fleshly infirmities that is why it cannot even be corrupted by sin.

The first man Adam was corrupted by Satan because he was born of corruption. He was made of the earth. The second Adam was born of the word. The word put on flesh and dwelt among us. He was not born of the earth, the word was proclaimed and he was brought forth.

When you become born again, you are no longer susceptible to sin. Adam was corruptible because he was a man born of the earth. You are incorruptible even to sin because you are born of an incorruptible seed,the word of God,the very nature by which Christ was born.

You can nolonger be corrupted by sin just as God cannot. It is because you are born of what makes him,the word. Sickness has no place in you. Fear is nolonger your portion. Lack and oppression are far from you to the glory of God because you are born of the incorruptible word.

*Nugget:* To be born again is not just a mere change of character. It is to be born after the very nature and image by which Jesus came to the earth. It is to be born of incorruption.

I proclaim that I am born of the word. I am born of incorruption. Am incorruptible to sin, sickness,fear, worry etc. Am born of righteousness.
