Became a sin

Now this thing became a sin, for the people went to worship before the one as far as Dan.

We see that after Jeroboam has been made the King of Israel , he decided to make golden calves for the people of Israel to worship them since he was in fear of the kingdom returning to the house of David .

The act of setting up of the golden calves for the people to worship became a sin . This is because it was not right in the sight of the Lord .
Remember as children of God , all our worship and praise belongs to our God but these people of Israel turned against Him by worshipping their small gods.

Even in the current world , we have seen people serving and worshipping other small gods thus neglecting their Almighty God who created them to worship Him alone .

We are encouraged in the word that let everything that has breathe praise and worship God . This means that its only God we have to worship and nothing else .
