A PURE HEART

A PURE HEART

When the Bible urges us to seek Him with all our hearts, it means that our hearts have to be examined and dealt with against God’s standard of purity in order to hear Him

Some people assume that searching for Him with all one’s heart is praying for ten hours a day or maybe isolating oneself on a prayer mountain for some good days

The fervent and consistent prayer has its place, and solitude with God is very important, infact there is nothing wrong with spending many hours alone with God.

However, it is possible for a man to pray for long but with the wrong heart. He may descend from a mountain after forty days having heard the wrong thing and yielded to a familiar spirit.

With a wrong heart lust can be mistaken for spiritual hunger, therefore;

The pure heart is tried and tested: for pride, selfishness and true spiritual hunger against lust. We seek Him with all our hearts when we continually yield to Him as He deals with our hearts and as we do, we hear Him more.
Men that are pure in heart hear God.
Hallelujah.

Men that are pure in heart hear God.

*Prayer*
Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for the work your doing in my heart. I know You are breaking and mending, uprooting and planting, dealing with me in ways that only You can. I continuously yield to you, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
