A FAITHFUL GOD

*Theme scripture*

*1 Kings 11:32*
_(but he shall have one tribe *for the sake of My servant David* , and for the sake of Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel),_

*A FAITHFUL GOD*

Our theme scripture is one of many other scriptures that prove the faithfulness of God towards they He has made His promise with. Its reference goes all the way back to the time God established what is called a Davidic Covenant. Its also important to note this kind of covenant was established by God to David. We don’t see any terms and conditions applied on David’s end, this was all up to God and Zero David Amen. Now the bible says

*2 Samuel 7:15-16*
_But My mercy shall not depart from him, as I took [it] from Saul, whom I removed from before you. *And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.* “‘”_

Though David was not permitted to build God’s temple, He (God) would promise him that his seed after Him would build that temple and not only that but that also his house and kingdom will be established forever meaning that it was assured to David that a future king over Israel would come from his line always,; his house would continue forever no matter what.

As the story unfolds, we see so many other kings after David some even from his line take for example solomon turn from God and He in response tears down the kingdom of Israel out of solomon’s hand to Jeroboam. But because He had promised David his house to continue forever, He (God) would spare a city, Judah to Solomon not to defile His covenant with the man of God. Yes solomon messed up alright, but that would not stop God from going through with what he had promised David which included
*2 Samuel 7:15* “But My *mercy shall not depart from him,* as I took [it] from Saul, whom I removed from before you.”_
